Cut Maryland Sales Tax 2 Cents

A 2 cent cut in the Maryland sales tax will give every Marylander a tax cut every day and give Maryland a much needed “business-friendly,” label. Marylanders will save hundred$/year, or together more than $1.7 billion annually.

Maryland shares an 85-mile border with Delaware, which has no sales tax at all.

No state has ever cut its sales tax by 2 cents or likely even 1 cent. This tax break will give every family a tailwind coming out of the virus debacle and send a message to businesses nationwide to come to Maryland.

Robin was the only witness to testify against our state’s 20% increase in the sales tax in the 2007 special session of the legislature.
